A 36-year-old man from Metairie was wounded in a shooting near the Uptown New Orleans parade route at St. Charles St and Napoleon Ave. Police stated that the victim was shot when a gun discharged inside a portable toilet on the Napoleon neutral ground, but the gunman was not immediately found.

According to Shreveport police, 36-year-old Michael Kelly, of the 600 block of Springhill Avenue, was taken to University Health for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds early Tuesday afternoon but Kelly will not be heading home after he exits the hospital.
