Veterans May Not Have to Pay Concealed Carry Fees in Louisiana Anymore
With a little luck from the Governor Veterans will not have to pay the fee to obtain a concealed carry permit in Louisiana anymore. According to KLFY news:
A five-year concealed carry permit costs $125 and a lifetime permit costs $500, with veterans currently charged half the fee’s price tag. The bill by Rep. Tanner Magee, a Houma Republican, would do away with the fees for veterans entirely.
We applaud this effort. There are hard costs associated with the government issuing a permit but it makes sense that those costs could be absorbed by the same government that sent our soldiers into war.
